Christmas Cards
Hi All,
Here I am again as promised. I thought that now I have some Christmas cards made, I would share a few of them with you.
I recently bought the SNOW GLOBE CD and card kit from “Flower Soft”. This disc consists of a number of small wintery scenes of quaint little buildings; all oval in shape which can be printed, cut and layered up and then “flower soft” applied to the buildings and trees so that they look snow covered. You can then put the finished picture inside an acetate bubble. If you use the “snow globes” that come with the card kit they are rather deep; so bear this in mind if you intend to put them in the post. I have some oval acetate bubbles I bought some time ago which are less than 25mm deep, which I used to make my cards. This means I can now post my cards for the cost of a large letter rather than a packet, which should save me a lot on the postage. They work just as well with the images on the CD.
The staff here at Westons seem to like the cards I have produced this far. I must make sure I get them back before people think they are up for grabs! Some of the staff have offered to buy some if I have any spare.
I get the “Making Cards Magazine” each month and absolutely love the free papers which come inside the mag. Nancy Watts does a lot of the designs and I love her artwork. The papers are perforated which means that I can remove them from the magazine and keep them in my A4 Storage Boxes with my other craft papers. I have some paper left over from last year with a Christmas theme which I have just started to use and am really pleased with the finished cards. Because the papers have been kept in the A4 box they are in perfect condition and I didn’t have to search through all the magazines again to find them. I have added pictures of a couple for you to view. What do you think? A bit of glitter and some ribbon works wonders.
Now all I need to do is work out how many more I have to make and knuckle done and get them done. Wish me luck!
