Kallax shelf inserts for 12x12 Boxes enable you to store 4 12x12 Scrapbook Paper Boxes in an IKEA Kallax storage unit, each on its own individual shelf. Simply peel the backing paper from the glue dots, line the front lip of the insert up with the front face of the Kallax and stick it in place inside the Kallax cubicle. Now you can load it with your 12x12 craft storage boxes each on its own individual shelf. Boxes sold separately. Stack one set of shelf inserts on top of another and you can store and organise 8 12x12 Boxes in a single Kallax cubicle.

Kallax shelving inserts for your 12x12 scrapbook paper storage boxes

  • Designed to fit the IKEA Kallax: A pair of shelving inserts designed specifically for the Kallax. They turn a single Kallax cube into four individual shelves for your WestonBoxes 12x12 Storage Boxes.
  • Organise the boxes you already have: If your 12x12 boxes are stacked on top of each other and you have to lift three to reach the fourth, these inserts give every box its own shelf. You can slide out just the paper you need.
  • Super easy to install: Peel the backing paper from the glue dots and stick the inserts to the inside walls of a Kallax cubicle. Make sure the overhang on the front edge of each insert is pressed against the front of the Kallax, so the insert can't creep backwards when you slide boxes in. That's all there is to it.
  • No handles needed: The inserts space the boxes with a finger-sized gap between each shelf, so you can grip the front edge of any box and slide it out with ease.

What is included?

You get a pair of black Kallax shelving inserts, 3D printed in PETG, with glue dots already fitted. One pair fits one Kallax cube and holds 4 WestonBoxes 12x12 Storage Boxes. Boxes are not included.

Which boxes do the inserts fit?

The inserts are designed around the WestonBoxes 12x12 Storage Box, which measures 317 x 343 x 28mm externally. Each insert holds 4 of these boxes on individual shelves in a single Kallax cube.

Are the Kallax inserts freestanding?

No. The inserts only work when fixed inside an IKEA Kallax cubicle, where they hold each of the 4 boxes on its own shelf. They won't stand up on their own. We make freestanding Box Staks for our A4, A5 and Pen & Pencil boxes, but there is no Stak for the 12x12 box. If you want 12x12 boxes on individual slide-out shelves, you'll need a Kallax and these inserts.

Do I need handles on my boxes?

No. The inserts leave a finger-sized gap between each shelf, so every box is easy to grip and slide out of the Kallax without handles.

Can I fit more than 4 boxes in one Kallax cube?

Yes. Fit a second set of inserts above the first and a single Kallax cube holds 8 12x12 Storage Boxes, each on its own shelf. To fill more cubes, order a set of inserts for every 4 boxes. If you need more 12x12 boxes to go with them, they're available separately in packs, or as part of the Kallax insert pack with 4 boxes included.

Where are the Kallax inserts made?

The inserts are designed, made and quality-checked at our factory in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey. S.B.Weston Ltd has been making precision injection moulded products in south west London since 1948. We started in a factory in Teddington, moved to Platts Eyot, a small island in the Thames, and moved into our own factory premises in Sunbury-on-Thames in 2002.

Are the Kallax inserts injection moulded or 3D printed?

The Kallax inserts are 3D printed in PETG. PETG is durable and holds up well to drops and knocks. It tolerates warm rooms without softening and resists moisture, oils and household chemicals. It's a solid all-rounder material for functional, everyday items.
